Friendship Force New Mexico
2019 FFNM officers set
Great News from Friendship Force NM We are not just Surviving but Thriving! Joan Mirabal – New President Elect for 2019 Thank you Joan for stepping up to the plate to take on the role of president for FFNM 2019. Joan has lived in NM for a year but was a FF member in Dallas, Texas, for 3 years and Ames, Iowa, for 3 years – 2 of which she was their vice-president. Julie McGaharan will take on the role of vice-president, sharing dual responsibilities with Joan. Lenore Pardee will continue her role as treasurer. Nancy Covalt will continue her role as secretary. Cheryl Lehmberg will continue her role as membership chair Berta Wagstaff will continue her role as membership development We thank all of these people for their dedication to our Friendship Force Club. We also send out kudos and gracias to Mark Vaughan who has served us well as president during 2018. We will miss your jokes but know we will continue to see your active participation. The official elections will take place at our next luncheon on November 10th @ 11:30 @ the Ramada Inn – what once was Elegante. Our guest speaker is one of our active members – Denise Coleman who will dazzle us with photos and stories of Paris, France. More to come on this very soon. And thank you to Phil Moskal for his excellent presentation for the September luncheon. Many Thanks to Ginger Grossetete and Nancy Covalt for their successful coordination of the recent Metro Vancouver Journey. And as we all know – it takes a village to raise a child and thus it took many others who gave their time as home hosts, day hosts, small dinner hosts, guides for tours, etc. etc. Your personal spirit of volunteerism is truly appreciated. December’s Social Event is our Holiday Gathering on the 8th at the home of Chuck and Trudy Beverly. More details forthcoming regarding this event.
Official FFNM club call
Good day to everyone. The purpose of this email is to let everyone know that as of this time we have not had a volunteer to assume the office of president next year for our club. November 2018 is the month that I need to notify FFI in Atlanta and let them know the name and email of the person taking my place as president for 2019. If we don’t have a replacement, our club will lose its Charter Membership status, no longer qualify as a recognized club and be dissolved. Sixteen current members, as well as many past members, have held the office and have helped successfully grow our club into what it is today. This really is the last call in hopes that someone will step up and take my place to carry on. If anyone has questions concerning what will be required of you to serve for one year, please contact me at: 505 379-3191. In Friendship, Mark Vaughan
