March Business Meeting

Friendship Force March Business Meeting – Guest Speaker – Matt Fetrow

Friends!
Our March business meeting has a few changes which the Board hopes you will approve of!
We have a new time and location and those interested in having a meal with the speaker will be able to do so at O’Neills Pub & Restaurant nearby.  After the presentation, we will relocate to the restaurant.
The United States Space Force (USSF) is a separate and distinct branch of the armed services, organized under the Department of the Air Force similar to how the Marine Corps is organized under the Department of the Navy.
The USSF is responsible for organizing, training, and equipping personnel to conduct global space operations that enhance the way our joint and coalition forces fight.

Matt Fetrow, our Guest Speaker, is the Communications Director and Outreach Lead for the Space Force Rapid Capabilities Office connecting businesses and academia nationwide to the work of the Space Force.  Matt received his B.S. in Physics from Utah State University and his M.B.A. from the University of Massachusetts.

He has led Air Force Research Laboratory’s technology transfer, STEM outreach, commercialization, innovation, and community engagement activities in New Mexico.

In addition, Matt has led numerous technology programs for the Air Force with a focus on space remote sensing, laser remote sensing, and advanced photonics.

Matt is planning a PowerPoint presentation on Space Force, the space business in general, and the Space Force work in New Mexico.

Please feel free to invite guests.

Let’s have a great turnout!
