Inbound Journey: Medicine Hat, Canada, April 24-May 1, 2023 

We are hosting 3 couples and 2 single women from FF Medicine Hat, Canada in April.  We need hosts for 2 couples.  Please contact FF New Mexico Contacts – General Information Contact, for more information and to be put in touch with the Journey Coordinator (JC).  

Outbound Journeys: FF Charlotte, N.C. June 7-13 and FF Central, N.C. June 13-20 

The Journey # is 23246. Fees to FFI for the journeys are $150 for Charlotte and $175 for Central N.C. Fees for the 6 day journey to Charlotte: $225.00; fees for 7 day journey to Central N.C. $245.00.  Please contact FF New Mexico Contacts – General Information Contact, for more information and to be put in touch with the JC.  

Charlotte program: Natural History Museum, Botanic Gardens, Central City Day Tour, Duke mansion, Museum of the Alphabet and more. Central NC program: Old Salem Village, Battle of Guildford Courthouse National Park, Civil Rights museum and more. 

Flights into Charlotte arrive in the evening so it is recommended we fly in on June 6 and spend the night in an airport hotel. 

FF International outbound journeys: July 21 to Germany $1200, Oct. 30 to New Zealand; $3000, Nov. 16 to Taiwan;  $1650. Check the FFI website for more details.

May Business Meeting

I am excited about our May business meeting – a tour of Los Poblanos!
The tour will be approximately 1 hour and will cover the Historic Inn and Organic Farm.  There is a limit of 20 people on the tour.  It will be on a first come basis.  There are currently 9 who have already signed up.  Los Poblanos has made an exception for Friendship Force by extending the number on the tour and even offering a tour to the public!!  The tours are reserved primarily for their guests at the Inn!  So take advantage of this rare opportunity and make my day with a great turnout!!  This will be EXTRAordinary!
In the interim, I will check to see what restaurants are near Los Poblanos for breakfast and perhaps those that wish to have breakfast prior to the tour will be able to do so with an opportunity to visit with each other!  I will check with the Inn but I’ve been told they are not able to handle a large group; I will keep you posted.  Anyone that has a restaurant to suggest near Los Poblanos, let me hear from you!!

Heads up! The date is rapidly approaching: We’re planning a fun dinner on Saturday, April 15, 2023 at 4:00. Sign-up sheets were passed around at the March Business Meeting. If you were unable to sign up at that time, it’s not too late to do so. Please take a look at the prior announcement to see if this is something you’d like to do. Let’s have a great turnout!!!
