March Meeting Update

The Friendship Force March Business Meeting met for the first time at the International District Public Library. Members were taken by the beautiful modern facility and its many amenities, one being the enormous screen used for power point presentations!  Guest Speaker was Matt Fetrow, Communications Director and Outreach Lead for the Space Force Rapid Capabilities Office.

Incoming Journey from Canada

We have some exciting news about the Group coming from Medicine Hat, Alberta, Canada. Eight people are expected.  The dates are: April 24 to 30.  We will be traveling to Santa Fe, Bandelier, Los Alamos, and Jemez S as well as tours here in Albuquerque.  We still need a couple of home hosts.  If anyone wants to volunteer, Please contact FF New Mexico Contacts – General Information Contact, for more information and how to coordinate with our JC.

Update on Charlotte trip

From our Journey Coordinator:  News Flash for Charlotte North Carolina June 7-13 exchange.

I have secured a tentative schedule of what the program will look like for the exchange to this city.

  1. Natural History Museum
  2. Botanical Gardens
  3. Central City Day Tour
  4. Walking Tour of Downtown Charlotte
  5. Duke Mansion
  6. Museum of the Alphabet
  7. Free Day to explore.. your choice

I have 8 people who have expressed interest in this exchange. Please let me know if you might be also interested in this opportunity to explore Charlotte.

The next week we are moving on to Central North Carolina a short distance of about 90 miles to explore this part of the state. We will be staying with that club from June 13-20.
