Christmas party and social events

Tomorrow is the first day in November and before we know it, December will be upon us.
Mark your calendars! I am excited to announce, John Farris is hosting the Christmas Party on Saturday, December 7, 2019. More details will be forthcoming in the next week.
We would like your input regarding the social events for 2020. Our goal is to offer social events that will attract the most attendance. Currently, the following have been suggested:
Progressive Brunch or Dinner Theater International Restaurant
Wine & cheese Picnic Ice Cream social
Bunco
Your suggestions are important to us. Please call or text Berta Wagstaff at 710-4448 or email her at vets4vets@aol.com no later than Saturday, November 9, 2019.
The list of suggestions will be voted on at the Holiday event.
Always looking for members who are young at heart, enjoy having a good time, and would like to assist in recruiting new members. Please let Berta Wagstaff know of your desire to be part of the social committee. We will be meeting in January to plan for the 6 social events in 2020.

November luncheon

Join us as one of our members, Judith Mead, tours us through 3 Pacific islands – Yap, New Guinea & Vanuatu!
Vanuatu consists of several islands as does Yap. The New Guinea pictures are from the coastal area of New Guinea. Judith will show some underwater pictures at these same places. Included will be the famous “Land Divers of Vanuatu”.
You will have to attend to get the details on these islands!!

May everyone have enjoyed the Balloon Fiesta!
This month is our social event and it is Fun & Games day – primarily bunco, unless you bring other games for members to participate in!! Bunco is fun, quick to learn, and allows you to interact with those at your table. You rotate so that you will have had an opportunity to meet almost everyone playing the game! Give it a shot!
