NM Friendship Force September luncheon

Phil Moskal, one of our members, is our guest speaker for September, and will share his adventures in Cambodia.
Phil was born and raised in Chicago, Illinois. He earned a B.A. in Liberal Arts from DePaul University and a M.A. in Special Education from Northeastern Illinois University. He taught intellectually disabled children. He also earned
endorsements to teach learning disabled and behaviorally challenged children.
Phil retired three years ago with a passion for travel. One of his most recent trips was to Vietnam and Cambodia! Phil loves to connect with people in the communities he visits as well as get an insider’s view of the country’s customs first hand! Friendship Force was a perfect fit for him!
Phil will be sharing his trip to Cambodia.

Cambodia is home to Ankor Wat, the largest religious monument in the world, and this slide presentation will delve into its history and explore surrounding temples. In addition to looking at the past, a look at modern life in the area, as well as the floating villages of Tonle Sap Lake and the effect the Khmer Rouge Zero Years had on the people and country will be addressed.

Let’s have a great turnout!

Invitation to Indonesia

Dear Friends, I hope you will join me, Board Member James Permana, and our FFI President/CEO, Jeremi Snook, as we represent global friendship in Indonesia. The Journey begins at the Indonesian National Conference in Bali, and you are invited from wherever in the world you call home to join our global delegation. Our friends in Indonesia are kind, welcoming, and genuinely happy to meet people from all over the world. You will certainly make some new friends and possibly meet some old friends as well. And you can personally experience several unique cultures with their own languages, architectural styles, religious influences, and histories living among the major islands of the Indonesian archipelago. Our Journey begins in Bali at the start of the Friendship Force Indonesian National Conference. We will stay in beautiful villas, providing the perfect setting to relax after long travel while getting reacquainted with friends and meeting new folks as well. During our 2 nights and 3 days in Bali, we will have a chance to visit the Royal Family in Ubud and maybe even go to the monkey park. The Journey continues to Surabaya, the second largest city in Indonesia. Here, our local club will host us for 3 nights and introduce us to local points of interest and cultural highlights. Our friends in Jakarta will host us for 3 nights. By day, we will explore the bustling city of Jakarta on our way to several cultural exhibits. The Journey also comes with a couple of optional add-on adventures. I look forward to meeting you and introducing you to our friends in Indonesia. I hope you’ll join me in representing global friendship by joining this Journey. Please reach out to me if you have any questions. Warm Regards, James Permana View this Journey on the Catalog and Apply Today!
